Biggest tragedy of all time.
Well, it seems my camera has stopped working. It tends to just flash “E11″ randomly and work seldomly. It had a good run, though. Survived like SIX bay/floor parties, constant floor droppage, several flights, and, best of all, a drop from the top of Chapel Bay to the ground floor. So for this, $150 Creative 550 PC-CAM, I salute you.
I know many of you are in tears right now, and I understand completely. It’s taken me several hours to come to terms with this. I cried a little, tried to smash a hole through the drywall in my room, spun around very quickly to try to go backwards in time and prevent such tragedy from occuring and even tried to forge a new camera from hotdog buns and CD-Rs. Nothing worked.
So ultimately we just have to accept this loss and move forwards. Sadly enough, I don’t think I ever took a picture of the camera itself, so I have no way of creating some sort of shrine to it. Perhaps the best way to remember it is to look through the 500 or so images linked on the left in those little drop-down boxes. It captured so many memories, and I think its deserves several rounds of applause.
Godspeed, little camera.
Does anyone out there know of a cheap, durable digicam that I can buy as a replacement? I don’t need anything with a lot of bells-and-whistles. Just a solid 1-or-2 megapixel camera with a decent flash and 8 or 16MB of space. Something in the $100-$150 range would be choice.
The first person to leave a comment with a good suggestion will get their name mentioned on THIS VERY SITE. Think of the exposure and the celebrity! People will see your name and say things like “Jesus Fucking Christ, is that… YOUR name?” and you will just nod triumphantly, laugh a little, and say “Sure is, old buddy old pal. Sure is.”
Think about THAT.
