The fact that this film has stuck in my mind so much since I watched it a couple months ago is one of the things that makes me appreciate it so much.  Generally, even with some of my favourite movies, I just FORGET what happens a few weeks after I watch it.  But Lost in Translation won't get out of my head.  And it's not just because nothing really "happens" in the movie -- it's because the world that Coppola created was so vibrant and lively and memorable.  I wish I lived in that movie.  Then I could take a taxi through the streets at night while My Bloody Valentine's "Sometimes" played and oh what a life it would be.</description>
