Moments of claritin
I came to the striking realization today that I’ve had the song “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks in my head since I was fourteen years old. It’s ALWAYS been in the back of my head, and sometimes when I’m walking I’ll just sing a few bars — “I’m a bitch / I’m a tease / I’m a goddess on my knees.”
This makes no sense at all to me.
Is there anyone else who even REMEMBERS this song? You know the one — “I’m a bitch / I’m a lover / I’m a child / I’m a mother / I’m a sinner / I’m a saint.” Anyone else who still knows all the words? If yes, do you want to go out with me? Please?

You’re not alone. I think perhaps everyone has this song perpetually in the back of their head just waiting for the oppurtunity to get stuck in the forefront permanently. the real question is why we never learned this truth in FYP.
“a godess on my knees”: a bit sugestive, no? By the way, I’ve never heard it before.
I hadn’t had it in my head until NOW. Thanks for that.
It was much worse for those of us who lived on the third floor and made the connection with the KING’S Meredith Brooks. Every single time you remembered her last name. Lived in 306 with Kimmy Milne? Red hair? Crazy/drunk?
Oh my god, I remember that. She was making out with some other girl for beads at this one party and I was greatly confused.
I doubt she’s as cool as the REAL Meredith Brooks, in any case.
I’m really glad so many people remember this song. Now I don’t feel so complete and utterly alone. You’re ALL angels underneath, you know. Innocent and sweet.
Oh man, I have to agree wholeheartedly. I’ve had that song stuck in my head forever, and now it sits on my hard drive and occassionally I listen to it.
