Today, a website
Once upon a time there was a boy named Matt who made a website that had a bunch of wacky letters he sent to people because he was bored.
A few people visited the website and liked it, so Matt made the website bigger and started writing things about himself. What he did, what he liked, what he felt. Even more people liked this website.
Then Matt started longer and prettier things. He started looking for extended metaphors when he went out on a drive. He strained to make simple things complicated so that he could write about them on his website.
Later, he was out of things to write about. So Matt made another website where he would write different things. But an evil wizard made it so Matt wrote very few things for this new website, and eventually all he used his site for was a place to put pictures of his friends at school.
When Matt finally came back home, he wanted to make a new website. One where he could just write little things. He made a pretty logo and a little box and put it all on a black background on the internet.
There’s a clock in Matt’s family room that has never worked once in his whole life. And it doesn’t mean anything. It is just a clock that doesn’t work.
These are just words.
I will update this weblog every day starting Sunday, May 11th until May 30th.
