You see, they are not the best bar in Halifax by any stretch of the imagination. Nor is their food particularly great. Also it's not like the atmosphere is awesome or the prices really cheap. We became regulars at Freeman's solely because it offers guaranteed seating -- it is never THAT busy, compared to some of the other places in this city that become zoos on the weekend -- and is very very close to our house. It is under new ownership, too, so it might have improved since your high school experience. The owner is Laurel. We know the owner. It's kind of weird. I should probably explain the Freeman’s thing. Maybe they have improved since I was in highschool, or maybe they just hate highschool students, but I have no intention of ever returning.
