Delay (with bragging)
I can’t seem to find the time to write what I want to write this week, what with my addiction to Season One of The West Wing and my ravenous desire for sleep, but I don’t just want to do another lame random thoughts update this week so I’m going to delay The Best Things this week. It’ll probably be up on Sunday. So get excited for that.
In the meantime, why not browse through the archives? I’d recommend So What Now? which was just awarded the 2006 University of King’s College Inkwell Prize for Prose, and Mixed Metaphors which took second prize in the 2006 University of King’s College Inkwell Poetry Contest. Even if you’ve read them before, read them again: they’re award-winning.
See you on Sunday,
Matt

Oooh la la! Look who is winning AWARDS now.
Kidding! Congratulations!
When are you leaving Halifax forever? We should hang out or something.
Haha, these are actually my second and third Inkwell Awards. My first was the Poetry Award last year for Contrast. I’ve actually won more poetry awards than prose awards but, still, I maintain that I do not write poetry.
(Ego Ego Ego Ego)
I’m leaving Halifax forever on May 22nd or something. After graduation, at any rate. I haven’t really worked out the details. As I have no job here, I am likely to be incredibly bored for much of that time. I’d definitely like to hang out, Caroline, and if you manage to make it up here, Jack, I promise to buy you a beer. Maybe two. Depending on how much you can handle.
