I agree with most everything you said, although you didn't mention my favourite part about the House hallucinations, and those were all of the House and Cameron shippy moments! He totally wants her. Too bad Chase got there first. :O

Oh-- According to the closed-captions, they were definitely speaking Portugese. I have never heard Portugese before, to my knowledge, so I thought they were speaking some kind of Spanish-Russian hybrid.

Kristine: That's incredibly sweet but that mouse does not have enough buttons. I am not kidding when I say I need six extra buttons. There is no way I can work without that many buttons! And by work I mean 'read comics comfortably'. But still.

Feel free to send me other things, though. Or the mouse too if you really just want to be rid of it. I love things!

Luke: I guess they also figured he would not be good at shooting and killing and evading. So that would make him a good messenger. They were right, too, as he just hung around when the shit was going down, doing nothing.

I forgot about the statue. How weird. Maybe it's the foot from the Statue of Liberty and this island was Manhattan all along. Except, you know, in the future or something.

I'm glad you made that observation about Hurley not being the best choice for the messenger. That was the first thing I thought of when they told him to do that. Maybe part of their 'good-guy' agenda is whipping Hurley into shape by making walk back and forth across the island a lot.

I really liked this episode though. Salvaged the season significantly for me. Though my opinion may be a bit twisted because my favourite part of the whole episode was the statue. Now every time I imagine the island, I'm going to imagine it being overlooked at one time by a 100-foot tall, four-toed stone man. Makes me smile every time.
