Wikipedia of the Day for May 29, 2007: Facebook
On August 23, 2005, Aboutface Corporation sold the domain name facebook.com to Facebook for $200,000. The website moved to this new domain name and dropped “the” from its name.
Man, I had no idea it was called thefacebook originally. I kind of like that name better. Also, people are kind of stupid about facebook, aren’t they? Privacy concerns are so silly. The site died for me the day they removed “Too close for missiles, I’m switching to guns.”
